I used to get around the French blocades by going on the smaller back roads, and rural roads to get to the ferry, in the 90s, but i did hear of stories of windscreens being stoned in and tyres cut if you tried to get past a blocade. Some drivers were get trapped on purpose to ring in to their boss to stay im stuck boss, then have a few days off on the beer. It was not their truck for it to earn it

Cutting your airlines was another one, it all got dirty so parking up was the safest option.
i would think the strike is in protest of the economic state of the country …and the eastern euros and morrocans etc nicking there work/jobs
