Surely the best way not to get hurt by all the stuff in your cab is not to roll the truck in the 1st place?

I’m pretty sure, even in an empty cab, rolling a truck is going to bloody hurt, not to mention ■■■■ the boss off.

Plenty of opportunities for a lorry, particularly artic, to rollover through no driving error on the part of the driver. Not having heavy gear loose in the cab isn’t H&S hysteria in my view.

That roll over could possibly have been avoided, it seems he was distracted and over-reacted when he eventually saw the vehicle coming towards him :sunglasses:

Seriously though, I’m not saying put your lump hammer on the bunk behind your head where it’s going to smack you when you brake, but planning for what ‘could happen’ IF you roll a truck over is a little over the top in my opinion, it sounds too much like planning to roll a truck.

When I was driving busses, we didn’t wear seatbelts, even on dual carriageways or little motorway jaunts, yet in a truck we have to, and get fined if we don’t, planning for an accident

and if they decide that cooking is no longer allowed, then i’d just ignore them.

So would I. And if any company I worked for banned it I’d be looking for a new job.

I was waiting to see how long it’d be before you posted on this one Luke as you clearly cook in the cab in your videos.

I was interested to see what Luke would say too.

Didn’t one of the Stobbie’s episode feature them cooking on the catwalk? Surprised they never made that company policy too in case it set fire to their unit or trailer

Done the catwalk cooking many a time, in fact i prefer to use the catwalk weather permitting
I know of a driver who somehow forgot to take the gas bottle off the catwalk before driving off , needless to say it had gone awol by the time he remembered it , at the drop :unamused:
