Gets interesting at 1.13.

FAF, I bet it gets pulled though fella

bit of an arse if you ask me. Yes the guy was in a H&R truck but look at the date it was posted the driver is a subbie we dont use the kens!!! No defense for the Taliban drivers though they are shocking but there again so are some of the Yank & Canadian drivers I have seen on the road

I did consider it, however I think it makes the bloke doing the video look like a complete bell end, so it stays for now

Calm down Taffy its only fun…I thought it would get pulled, I also thought it was You newmercman as its your kareoke accent…hth

yea i know its a bit of fun but still a good old pop at H&R when in actual fact they not a bad place to work for

My impersonation is way better than that and you know it

The video is not very good, there’s far worse out there on the roads, regardless of their choice of headgear :unamused:

It makes me laugh, they think a turban is worn by a muslim and other such misinformed crap that they spout, when half of them are fanatical christians who don’t have the decency to remove their hat when they enter a building, judging by the lack of washing facilities in Canada and the state of half of them, showering is done on a strictly need to basis and the retarded [zb]wits cannot hold a knife and fork at the same time, yet they say the Indians are dirty animals :unamused:

Its not Me that travels there favoured lines week in week out soapdodging along

newmercman:
and the retarded [zb]wits cannot hold a knife and fork at the same time,

I’m not the only one who’s noticed that then. They all seem to either stab their food with the knife like its some kind of primitive dagger or just use the edge of their fork to hack their food to pieces as they chase it across the plate.

I’ve got it down to a fine art, the J at Moose Jaw, Hanna and Saskatoon, Calgary has the J and the Roadkill, Edmonton has the same. BC is a little bit difficult, Husky the only option really as the rest of them are going to make you dirtier than when you go in. The PetroPass in Kamloops is pretty decent, nice pink fluffy towels in there for free, with a tank of fuel, but you have to leave your keys. There’s a new J opening up at Hope too, so should be able to keep my crack sweat free all the way across soon :sunglasses:

In the meantime I’ll have to keep using this

Don’t fret NMM , only a few more months then you can be crack sweat free thru June July and August before starting all over again .
Doing my tax returns today , and I noticed a comment on my log book from Oct 16 in Meadow Lake , over hours due to weather , FFS this has been a long winter :unamused:

You ain’t wrong, I was throwing chains in early October and it’s snowing like an illegitimate child right now at home

What was up with the truck the other week?

As written by yourself in Truck News this month it’s a 2012 model , :unamused: on top of constant electronic /sensor problems , an on going issue with the fuel tanks revolving to the extent where returns are split etc . fan clutch bearings go awol for a pastime , plus the gurus at our unique company wired the peoplenet into the auto- greaser which ■■■■■■ everything skywards , then we have the up grades from KW at services which obliterates any previous settings for high idle (pto) and cruise … I could go on but can feel my BP rising .
On a brighter note , had a drive around Edmonton last week in a 2012 Volvo VN with I-Shift , what a refreshing change that was  , then McNally txd me saying his identical truck was off the road for 8 days needing a new wiring loom , can’t seem to win nowadays ! Progress WTF ?

As you know I’ve been looking into all that stuff and from what I’ve found out, the Volvo D13 is the least problematic of all the new engines, I think if I was buying brand new it would be where my money would go, I wouldn’t touch the DD15 with a barge pole (ask KR79) and the ■■■■■■■ have been a nightmare since they introduced EGR ten years ago. The jury’s out on the Paccar lump, ours have been relatively trouble free, so far, but like any of these new breed, once they start playing up they’re a disaster and only fit for an appointment with a set of bottles :unamused:

Hi all your’e not alone.Last week the temp was round zero, this week its back in the -20s and snowing hard and forecast to continue for the whole week.FFS it’s warmer in Quebec than here :open_mouth: Mike

I’m not pretending I know a fraction of what you do about truck engines but I’ve had 3 Cascadia’s in Canada, all with DD15 engines and I’ve never had the slightest thing go wrong at all, and I’ve put many hundreds of thousands of km’s on each one. My friend has a Volvo with a D13 engine in it, and while its generally a reliable truck, he’s had quite a few issues with it while my DD15 just plods on, day after day. Not wishing to tempt fait here but I’ve found the Cascadia to be an incredibly reliable and capable truck. The company I first worked for had 25 or so of them and apart from maybe one lemon they were all spot on.

I`ve seen both sides with the frieght shakers. All mine seems to go in with is tri pac issues where as i know other dirvers where their truck is in the shops all the time so I think its a bit of pot luck to how yours is gonna go BUT having said that rather have the VN anyday

My new chariot has the dd15 in it but no def. when it was hooked up to the computer yesterday the fitter said it will need a dpf filter soon but that is the original one and its a 2009 truck. Although according to the clock has just under 500000km on it.

When the new engines are running properly they are fantastic bits of plant, good on fuel, pull like a train, all good stuff, but when they go wrong they’re a [zb]ing nightmare and once you get a problem with them it never ends, if you get a good one you’re laughing, if you get a bad one, you better get used to the idea of visiting workshops

Look on the bright side at least all that money saved on fuel over something simpler can be used for the maintenance budget instead. :smiling_imp:
