The NGC is registered on a departement 59 plate, might have been owned by Loste?

Ah! Nice try! However, the two Loste NGCs were registered 5673KH59 and 8814GV59; and their 7MW-cabbed Pacific was 3756BT59, which covers those three!

Here is another shot of some fun fair motors, well some of them may be by now as this shot was taken in 1991. Dennis that pv83 is a bit bitchy comparing you to CF and as I type one is wondering what experiences & qualifications he has to be so critical of someone of your calibre perhaps he could enlarge on this and spill the beans so to speak, cheers Buzzer

It’s a bit later than '91 Buzzer, as the FH range was introduced in '93. No fun fair motors I’m afraid, as this is a tidy looking fleet, no kelsa bars in sight!

As for experiences and qualifications, just have a look on the heavy haulage thread, where you’ve recently been posting a lot of pic’s on, there’s enough stuff on there that I’ve done over the years, including footage of a trip to the Ukraine back in 2014, to recover whatever was left of flight MH17.

And as I’ve said many times before (this is the bit most people forget or possibly just ignore), despite what you and others might think, I do take my hat off to anyone that ventures out on his own, especially in these difficult times.

The thing with Dennis though, is his odd “bromance” with Ponsonby, acting like he’s the one in charge, and I and some others wonder why that is. Yes, MAP has got a really tidy fleet (especially his trailers, as I’ve said many times before, but they seem to forget that or possibly just ignore, I asked some genuine questions about his new kit, still waiting for an answer) but all that “professional haulier” and “this job was done by the A-team” ■■■■■■■■ is a bit over the top, don’t you think? As if other hauliers, who have been far more longer in the game are a bunch of amateurs.
All the bling is obviously all personal taste, it’s quite clear that I don’t like it, but whatever floats your boat and all that, but if you can’t take any critism about that, and you’re going behind my back to cry to one of the MOD’s, well, good luck to ya!

Again, the Bewick operation was a household name, as is the Davies name by the way, but Dennis has turned into a somewhat bittered old man it seems for whatever reason. If you can’t stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen…

pv83 personally I dont like all the bling on motors especially cow catchers, when have you seen any Kangaroo’s up the M1, the only bling we have is air horns, your right about the picture that was a yard shot of a later year correct one below plus one of our new ones of a batch of ten, getting old pressed the wrong button. Give me a break “pv83” you are full of it Pal " wind and pish, hot air, BS " take your pick !! One thing I’m not is ( as you describe it) is bitter ! Why should I be ? I had 30 years in the Transport Business and enjoyed every minute ( well almost  ) With regard to your caustic comments about myself and Mike Ponsonby well unfortunately by the tone of your comments you have no understanding whatsoever of both our connection on the business level but also , and more importantly, our family connections ! So as Buzzer says it could be you that are a close relative of “CF” and given the choice I would choose my old pal “CF” any day over you so why don’t you just “rev up and F off”

Well John I reckon the new DIT livery should have been 9 to 1 in you and “The Boss’s” favour  “pv 83” may have other ideas but we’ve all heard Sparras ■■■■ before so we’ll discount his opinion eh ! Regards to you all at DIT Dennis .

Why should you be bitter, you ask? That is a question I, and several others have asked, you seem to attack anyone as it suits you without reason. My first experience of that was when I praised a picture of a Bewick Atki flanked by 2 of Mike’s Topline Scanias. For some reason you assumed I was belittling the Atki due to its size compared to the more modern motors and launched into a blistering and unprevoked attack on me personally which was deeply wounding. Mike later apologised to me on your behalf (sorry Mike for possibly breaking a confidence but it is to your credit and has to be said) saying it was just your way of joking.

And now you try to attack Patrick by misquoting Buzzer. What he actually said was ‘pv83 is a bit bitchy comparing you to CF’, which is not what you say he said above.

That said, I too concur with Patrick and John in not being complete fans of over bling although I did fit some Peterbilt marker lights to my Teardrop caravan.

That looks really nice and tidy Buzzer, congratulations with the 50th anniversary, quite a Milestone!

In the first pic, that second Scania from the left has a raised roof, was that an Estepe conversion?

I see you’ve retrieved to your normal antics again, surely a man of your ilk could or should do better…

How was I to be aware of the connection between the two of you? Is that common knowledge or what? As every genuine question seems to be ignored. I still find it a bit odd that you react so strongly about it, I have family and close friends who operate their own business as well, but I’ve never felt the urge to adrress people like the way you do. Hence the being bitter comment, you do realise you’re a bit obnoxious, don’t you?

Take a step back, enjoy the years you’ve got left, take the Mrs out on a holiday, owt to get your blood pressure down to normal levels.

He seems to only know two sorts of people David, those who are with him, and those who are against him. We probably fit in the latter category

Nice touch to personalise the Teardrop, but did you never got any remarks about it by the Gendarmes?

None at all, and I was a bit worried with amber facing rearwards, but if anything it was worse than that because that picture was taken before the middle 3 (I bought a full set) were fitted. The outer 2 were indicators and the middle 3 were brake lights if I remember correctly :unamused: , I’ll plug it in later and see.

It wasn’t just for bling though, although I was a fan of those Peterbilt bullets, but for a serious purpose, I have always been very keen to be visible from the rear, easy for a lorry driver high in his cab to miss something so low down.
