Carefully parking up around the scunthorpe area… I went to two breakdowns this morning where they’d had there fuel, stolen in the night, one driver told me the whole industrial estate had been done (near the tesco roundabout off the m181)
Weird thing was 3 drivers that i spoke to had lock fuel caps and they were undamaged and still worked, they were all adament they were locked, which they probably where.
Would/could they of pulled the fuel line off the bottom of the tank?
Just a quick twist and out come the pick up pipes! It’s the fastest way to get into a tank with out doing any damage.
I think the area around the Premier Inn and McDonalds has been double yellow lined for quite a while now. Used to park there a fair bit and once woke up with my diesel cap missing but only a small amount of fuel gone if any at all.
Its been about 2 years ago that I was parking behind kfc and pizza hut a couple off times a week and never had any trouble.
Sounds like another spot crossed off my list.
One of ours got done for about 200ltrs on the foxhills estate near the nisa depot before Christmas
there are some bad elliments around the scunthorpe area these days, i know who one was, and i’m sure he’s been dealt with. but my advice is to stay well clear of any layby’s in the area, by that i mean the out of town ones - park on the a18 towards donny and your nearly guaranteed to get drained, sad state of affairs because i live that way out and would be handy for me during the week. nothings safe these days.

i think so steve, i’ve never heard owt bad, a mate of mine parkes up regulary on elsham industrial estate and reckons he’s never had any trouble there, its just over the junction from barneys - might be worth a go? i cant quite remember if you have to pay at barney’s, i used to park at a lovelly spot near humber sea terminal when i was there, but it became popular, people dropped litter and then surprise surprise one night i got a knock on the door from a security guard telling me i could no longer park there
cheers bud, going down friday afternoon, many thanks. steve.
