off to France on a driving holiday ,is it best to fill up over here or in France ,thanks Keith

You would need a big fuel tank on the car to do that :laughing: :laughing:

don’t forget your breathalizers.

Only if it’s diesel. Petrol is a lot dearer.

Always found that the esso automated sites are cheaper for fuel then manned garages.

Also dont forget the 1 hi vis per person,spare bulbs,beam benders . . .

French supermarkets always heavily discount fuel so well worth coming off the road for.

Most supermarkets have a large restaurant and grill,cheap and very good food,no waiting time for it to be cooked,buffet.Do not have the steak tartare,raw meat with a egg on top.

wait for belgium, or spain.

For Spain,you need a spare pair of glasses if you wear them but i have not known anyone to be fined for this yet.

You also need the spare specs in France too.

Brethalises as with Hi Viz must be within the car and accessable, god help you if you’ve had a few too many Demis and roll the car and can’t locate the brethaliser. I joke, never drink and drive and remember you can still be over the limit the morning after.

Bretalisers are in short supply, you can’t get them in some areas, but the 9e fine doesn’t come into until November.
