Hi everyone, how do I work out how much it’s going to cost me on fuel before I have done the trip?
1500 miles at 8.5mpg.

Divide 1500 by 8.5 and then multiply by whatever price you’re paying for fuel. Eg, let’s call £1 per litre for simplicity; 1500 miles will use 176.47 gallons, multiply 176.47 by 4.546 to give litres = 802.23 litres multiplied by £1 gives you a figure of £802.23 in fuel.
Scary that when you look at it in cold hard cash!
