Fuel economy

You do realise the irony of your mutterings… :unamused:
Why aren’t you sitting on some road among the other JSO zealots being a menace to “ordinary” people just going about their business. Because being in the top 5% of best fuel economy in your company means what exactly in the grand scheme of things… Diddly squat, that’s what!!
It’s been stated that behavioural change is the biggest factor needed to meet this so called Net Zero target. And everyone knows what that means.
A reversal of economic development and at every level of this development, with a few exceptions, people are living, healthier, wealthier, longer and safer lives.

I think it’s time the mods locked this pointless and totally boring slanging match. Nothing whatsoever to do with fuel economy. Regards Kev.

I try not to get drawn in to ■■■ for tat posts, its not what Im about, but at the end of the day,the more people talk about this, the better,I think. No,holding up cars on the m25 is not the answer, but economical and political changes, maybe…

The best way to improve the fuel efficiency of trucks is by allowing longer heavier trucks.
Internal combustion engines can run just as easily on alternative non fossil based fuels. There is also far more scope for more fuel efficient engine designs.

Ok. Kev has appointed himself as arbiter on what’s relative & what isn’t on a social media forum, and want’s to call time on this particular thread.

Carryfast.
Mars doesnt have global warming because there isnt enough atmosphere to hold in the heat. There are lots of websites about this if you google it

On news before…Newcastle have had a clean air zone for 6 months.
In that time it has generated 300k…plus fines for non payers.
And you think the main reason and purpose for these schemes is environmental
Dont make me ■■■■ laugh

Oh aye…just remind me what that Olog Hai bloke said to me about me ‘babbling on about hidden and true agendas’ ?

OK,they raised 300k.They can put that towards the cost of treating the victims of air pollution. If you drive a big diesel through highly populated areas,I think it’s only right that you pay more.In any case, how else can you reduce traffic except charge more money.Air pollution kills 7 million people a year, they have to do something

Sploom:

Yep because that is exactly what they plan to do with it. :bulb:
How did you actually know that btw :open_mouth:

Would you believe it , by shear coincidence I’m starting a fund raising campaign for the same.
Just send me your bank details for a donation. :bulb:

Seriously mate, your naivety knows no bounds.

So,would you approve of the charge, then,if you were certain it was going to a good cause?

You mean that 2,375x the proportion of CO2, making up an atmosphere that’s only around 100x less dense, as Earth’s atmosphere, is supposedly not ‘enough’ to cause a greenhouse effect when it suits your climate scam propaganda.

I dont have the technical knowledge to answer that,I dont have an agenda but if all the articles on the internet from nasa, european space agency, etc…If they all say the same thing on this subject, its probably true.If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, talks like a duck,it probably is a duck

Or a goose.

It doesn’t matter a ■■■■ whether I would approve or not…this is the real world, it’ll never happen.
On the other hand if it did it would disprove my hidden agenda theory, but dont be holding your breath.

Yes,I must admit,it would really annoy me to have ti pay ,if I lived in one of those zones

But ,going back to the global warming problem, the co2 emmisions last year was 37 billion tonnes worldwide.Thats about 4.5 tons per head of population, according to my calculations. If the carbon capture machines can take out one ton of CO2 for about £150,that means ,if we all paid £600 each,we could remove the excess carbon from the atmosphere
Its something that has to be done, there is too much at stake

Fuel economy.
Ive been looking at the points on my routes where,if you turn the cruise off,the truck slows down and by the time you get to the roundabout,no need to apply the brakes.Braking wastes energy.

Define excess carbon ?.How much is too much. How much would it be if we burn all of the world’s fossil fuel ?..Bearing in mind that the planet has been fine with CO2 levels hundreds of times more than we have now. While basically on Earth more CO2 = better for plant life and with it our Oxygen supply.
The truth is the planet is suffering from more of a real oxygen depletion problem than any supposed CO2 problem.Which points to a deforestation and urbanisation problem not fossil fuel use.
Your solution to that is let’s reduce CO2 levels by burning more trees for fuel instead of coal and oil.
For someone who supposedly knows nothing about the physics of how our planet works,
you and your satanic cohorts predictably selectively seem to know everything when it suits you and your obvious agenda.

:open_mouth: You’ve got far too much time on your hands mate, (and the world on your shoulders) if you want to fork out x no of quid as a voluntary tax :unamused: ,.crack on just don’t involve me…I pay quite enough already.

A better system would be economise on unnecessary expenditure, let’s start with my pet hate of 6 mill a day on illegal scroungers in 4 star hotels.

You are the sort of bloke who would readily agree to pay for any damage to your firm thus becoming their Driver/insurance broker,.then go on to tell us… ‘Its only fair,.I did the damage’. :unamused:

Wake up.and see things like this as they really are. :bulb:
Just get on with your life as I’ve said before, and leave it to the powers that be to continue to ■■■■ up everything up that they touch…there is the far end of f/all you or me can do about it…fact.

Yep,youre right, too much time to think on this job…
