Hi LB76.
Is that the same Jeff Hubbard that used to run a couple of F7 W&D’s for Goddfrey & Davis Potato Merchants in the '80s?

Here’s some for you LB76, taken by Mr. Jack Harrison at the Haven Bridge Gt.Yarmouth in 1955.

Mmmm, clearly, while the roads were quieter, definately cleaner and despite the close proximity of a ‘boy in blue’, theives still managed to steal stuff from wagons.

Nothing really changes

Which were considered the best the Scania or the F88, i dont think the AECs would come into the equation?

It,s that old story about one mans meat etc. as far as drivers go its just a matter of personal preference. there are good and bad in everything unless you subscribe to the school of “anything else is rubbish”, which i dont. When we had the Scania 110 's they used to have a fold down bunk we didnt have any sleeper cabbed ones - they took up too much revenue earning loadspace! We had a lot of home made sleeper conversions though and ‘top sleepers’ before they really came about, if its down to personal preference thats another story.
