French can't count. . . . . .

Got to the tunnel this morning, short Q looks good. But then . . . . . 15 minutes to book on (only 2 lanes open). On to the Douanes, X-ray please, this took 25 minutes, then onto the Brits. Through passport control, no problem, then into bay 5 please, just been x-rayed by French. Bay 5 pls ! Oh we’ll another 10 minutes gone. Out of there and straight into a check by a French knob who took a slow walk round the trailer. At last onto the lanes, stuck behind a van they didn’t know what to do with, then our turn. What time will we go?, straight on m’sieur, not quite true 10 minute wait in the lanes, and last truck on the rear half. At last we’re moving to the train, what could go wrong now ? Well half on the carriage half on the access carriage with 1 van in front and everything stops !

So, you must reverse off m’sieur. (Good job the wife was in pax seat, I’ll have to make her drive it on one day ! ! ) we reversed off, they dumped the van off, and then let us on instead. (Sorry fella wasn’t my fault !)

Still hoping to get tipped, due back out to Germany tomorrow, and then onto Czek Republic for Monday, fingers crossed.

They talk funny too. . . . . .
