I’ve been having a sort out of my workshop/shed and I’ve found a load of spanners which I’ll never use again. I thought they may be of use to chaps working on older machinery.
I’ve got about a hundred open-ended and ring spanners of various sizes from 1/4 to1.1/4 AF and 1/8 to 9/16 Whitworth. Many of them are duplicated but I’m afraid there are no full sets. They are all in an old, rusty but useable steel cantilever toolbox and the whole lot are free to anyone who can make use of them. Currently lying in Macclesfield from where they can be collected by appointment.
Wot, Nobody?
Alot of young people are no longer interested in restoring old bangers[a lot can’t change a bulb, never mind an engine]and us ‘‘older people’’ can’t pick up the spanners anymore due to the arthritis Mike
pm me your address casey al pop up in the week
PM sent, matey.
Hutpik,
Know what you mean, matey- I’ve been reading the thread on “broken susies” which is causing me to grin a bit. As to the old “Arthur”, I’m not too bad so far. Got it quite bad in the hands and a bit in the knees but the back’s not too bad yet so I’m able to pick things up from the floor without shouting for the lad next door to help!
