As per title, free to park, and a free shower at the cattle and auction market at Bridgewater, Somerset. You can watch livestock being sold on your 45 min break.
The food is very good, roast beef dinner in small or large size, and the farmers breakfast was great and good value, and lots of choice in the size of the break fast, it does not matter if your wellies are covered in cow ■■■, or the boiler suit is soiled, you still get served by some pleasant young ladies.
The cafe is open from 7 am to 16.45 on mon, tue, thurs, and late opening on wednsday till 19.00.
Open weekends.
The drivers shower is at the back of the building where the livestock trucks park up, they are going to build a new shower at the front one day.
It can get busy on market days, so if on nights you may not sleep, and some parking is on a slope, so get the cab right when you pull in.
There is a bar if you fancy a tipple with your meal, and some clothing and veg shops.Places like this are gems and should be used by us, we moan about the rip off at the MSA s, not sure why i saw trucks paying £5 to park at the Graham
s cafe old site, where the fuel garage is, the cafe has been demolished, about 300 metres away, when you exit go via the no entry sign, that is the only way out for a truck.
Hopefully that’ll be usefull to somebody Tobes, I do keep meaning to call in one day for brekky but haven’t got round to it yet.
and on top of all this…the service area at J24 (Moto) is £20 odd per night and within site of the Cattle market!

Denis f told me about this place awhile back and I have used it everytime I’ve been in the area.
You can also walk through the back gate of the pub that’s there who also do good food.
There’s a guy there who’s a sort of a night watchman, who keeps an eye on your motors too so I fully recommend stopping here, just hope the flip flop and sock brigade don’t find out about this place and ruin it for the rest of us.
There was a Romanian tractor unit with a Dutch plated tanker in there when i had the famous farmers breakfast with delicous potatoes, like roast spuds and fried, very nice too.
I did some Christmas shopping for my young nephew, got him a John Deere kids boiler suit and sweater top.Try the roast beef dinner, it is worth it.
Toby? You don’t mention the word ‘overnight’■■ Am here now parked up for 11 off, on the dirt opposite the market. Still free?

it’s definitely free ( probably only until the owner works out a method of charging though )
It is free anywhere to park in the market area and overnight too.
