France Operators license

Hi All , what the process of applying for an operators license in france or Belgium, can it be done from the uk and is my international TMCPC valid for these countries. Is it a complicated process and is there any companies that can help ?

Thanks in advance

Why?
If you are resident in the UK then you should get a UK International operators licence.

What aren’t you saying? UK or Fr/B reg vehicles? Where is the company registered for taxes etc?

Hi , my company has a branch in France and one in Belgium, we are currently using outside carriers for delivery to our french and Belgium customer. The costs are very high so looking to get french and Belgium trucks woth local drivers.
For this will need a Operators licence in France and Belgium ?

Any ideas ?

It would have to be done in those countries, and you will need a TM resident in those countries. I know for certain that we in the UK require a TM to be a UK permanent resident so I can’t see that France or Belgium would be any different in that regard.

But as Franglais said, the obvious starting point is to have a UK Standard International O-licence, but that would limit you to just one cabotage journey (used to be three, but hey! That’s Brexit for you) so that might be economically limiting.

Can the application be made from the uk ?

Does anyone know an companies that can help with the application process ?

Any help appreciated

(i) Doubtful, see “TM Residence” issue
(ii) I’ve never heard of it, but if someone was to offer it, I doubt it would be cheap

If you want a Fr truck to deliver in Fr and a Be truck to deliver in Be, then you will 99% need to get that truck and necessary documents in the country they are registered in.
Get the managers of your local branches to earn their keep and find out the local national laws.

As a note even if you were to send a UK truck to do a run in France you would still need a local representative in that country.
