France map

Can anybody suggest the best map with weight limits bridge heights etc for france as not liking using my sat nav only.preferably large scale if possible.many thanks

Hi Gaz , I’ve always used the “Michelin Atlas France”,“Routiers et Touristique” atlas.
It details all that you have asked for, including speed cameras (Radar Fixe), showing bridge heights under 4.50 m and weight limits under 19t.
Town plans at the back, large maps of Paris , inside the peripherique and outskirts.
Hope this helps

That’s the one for France
It’s available at several different scales, you’ll want the large size at about 150,000 (or 200,000) scale.
Mine is over 10 yrs old now, I think they might’ve changed things since then. In mine, you have to LOOK for bridge heights and weight limits. The little red labels aren’t that obvious with all the other little bits of red on the map.

Good advice there Simon, should’ve mentioned not to get an atlas that was too small.
The one I’ve got is 1 : 200 000 ( 1 cm : 2 KM ) and is quite adequate.
Or get a very large magnifying glass (Sherlock Holmes style)
