Did your consultant give you the all clear after 6 weeks? Did your employer require you to have their own medical?
Looking for advice from any truck drivers who have fractured their skull in the past.
It wasnt a serious fracture(fell back on the skull, blood out the ear, didnt blackout, kept in hospital for 3 days as a precaution, no memory loss/other symptoms) but cant drive a truck for 6weeks(bizarrely told that it is okay to drive small cars but not big cars!), and after these 6weeks are up have to go back to the consultant who will decide if its okay to drive a truck again.
So the question is, is it likely that the consultant will give the all clear after 6weeks?
Will the employer(large bluechip company) want to do their own separate examination?
Help greatly appreciated.
