Despite hanging the keys on February, I have found myself back behind the wheel again.
I’m doing some (agy) work for an own account shop fitting outfit, and nearly every job is double manned, despite the fact that the job isn’t even remotely long hours.
We’re driving everything from a transit connect van, Luton van, rigids, and artics. Two up in an artic yesterday to High Wycombe to drop 17 pallets of display shelves off at a Tesco store there via tailift. One of us drove down and the other drove back. As is own account there is no one chasing us or constantly phoning us up. 8-9hr shifts or less is the norm. The pay is slightly above average too.
Two up in a sprinter 80miles to Skegness no problem, this has to be the easiest job I’ve done in years. They are even going to pay for me to to do the moffet training
Sounds nice, glad you are enjoying the work. Correct me if I am wrong but it sounds like the sort of firm it would be hard to judge the job without taking the plunge and finding out 1st hand.
