MOC - it’s the same vehicle EHJ 562T.
Can still clearly remember the day my dad purchased it from Newham Motors. It was bog standard then, until ■■■■■■■ at Rainham got their hands on it.
It then went like stink!Hi churchboy, ha ha ,Yea relized it probably was the same unit, but the other was Toad Hall11 on the front
Did you have the 350 in it
As already stated by Flyhseet - it was a 320, but I know that ■■■■■■■ had it up to the 380+ mark. Nearly made a mess of their workshop whilst on the rolling road one weekend.

Two things about the Transcon that I haven’t seen mentioned before on this thread that I seem to remember when I drove one, were the catches on the front grill weren’t very good and sometimes the grill would pop open…only really noticed when you stopped and stepped outside the cab. And also the battery cover could fly off (rubber clips coming adrift?). I remember doing things to overcome these problems but time has taken it’s toll and I can’t recall what it was that I actually did to rectify the problems.
Anyone else remember these faults?
bonnet catches.
I had mine replaced with a couple of the battery cover rubber clips
never noticed a problem with the battery cover though, probably 'cos I was spending so much time mending the electrics!
Looking back and thinking of all the problems with the electrics, brakes, leaking cab etc I wonder why I liked it so much
did anyone else bother with the cold start canister?
Many thanks for photo.
We had 4of them when I worked for Mr ken I had a xreg ex glyn johns and it was the best motor i have ever had ■■■■■■■ uprated it
to about 400 horse it had intercooler put on it 9 hole injectors x Chris Tuckers old roadtrain racer and a 13 speed road ranger from d&d diesels and apart from electrics /brake and gas cables freezing /and the steering uj going wooly I never had a problem with it and to be honest I had a 143 after that and apart from the sound I asked him twice for my ford back .The last one he had ex birds eye /Danny mcgee spent about a month in the workshops had uprated front springs all the same mods as the others and the little scouser who drove said it was unbeatalble happy days
