Hers a pic of an old one of mine, parked alongside micky phillips f12 just out side the restaurant in sunbilla.
This time the transcon isnt mine, but belonged to a guy i remember as showaddy, an owner driver from wigan who parked up in hindles yard.I ran with him a few times, here we are parked up in novi sad, just after the war, we had just brought down two truck loads of scotch, which caused us a few problems, My truck was the p low cab scania by the side of his transcon, had the photos for years but only just found them again.

Now isnât she a Beast! You never see anything like that anymore, thatâs why modern haulage is so boring, there are no 1 offs like that now, yes there are fancy paint jobs & plenty of chrome etc, but underneath they are still Toplines/Globbies/Space Cabs etc, but nothing like this that makes you take a double-look & say Wow whats that! But then we havenât got that kind of drivers/owner-drivers/hauliers that want to run something a bit different!
Regards Chris
i would love to know what happened to the Transconti âAerodyneâ!
I hope someone has some more pictures of her!

That Transconti Aerodyne was burnt out whilst parked up outside Alan Hindles yard in Westhoughton, would have been around 1999/2000.
There was a youngish bloke that aquired the wagon off Derek who thought he could restore it.
It landed at the Farm where I used to park on the back of a wrecker one day, the bloke stripped the stacks and bumper off it and cleared all the burnt leftovers from the cab shell.
It then disappeared from the farm, didnt know where it had gone!
Then purely by chance I came across it again when picking a new wagon up from the paintshop at Universal Motors in Kearsley near Bolton. It was there tucked in a corner of the workshop, apparently the guy had left the wagon there along with ÂŁ1000 and told them to ring once the grand was used up in labour/parts, and they hadnt seen him again after that!!! So who knows,, it may still be there or may have been scrapped, maybe worth a phone call or a trip to Universals if anyone is interested, the cab shell was all there (but a bit burnt) and the fire hadn
t got to the engine, so maybe good for some bits or even a rebuild, if its still still around that is !!
Jimbo.
