Would love to see some pics of them in the old TNT livery, they looked smart with all the skirts etc. I started driving these on multi drop back in the 90s!

Hello richellis78

Thankyou for your post marra

I can’t say I’ve ever seen any photos of Ford Cargo’s in TNT’s livery. Would love to see some though if anyone has any photos

I know, id love to see some now, they where every where as it was a standard 7.5T on multi drop for years. I then went on the Trunking on a Turbostar, again there are no pictures!

Hello richellis78

Thankyou for that excellent photo marra

I think there might have been one (now after seen a photo) featured in Heritage Commercials a while ago.

Sure I’ve still got the page you I’ll see if I can dig it out

Whilst not a ‘working truck’, here’s a pic of mine taken in May this year, pulling out a friends’s old tandem box trailer out of the back of his farmyard for re-positioning:

Dave the Renegade:

Wesley Jones is still operating this Cargo. It carries a 17 ton payload, something that the modern six wheelers can’t do.

I had a go in one of them once with an L10-290 in it, flying machine. Evidently it would do eight tyre burn outs with the diff locks in, never witnessed it myself though… honest.

Hello sdg1970

Excellent photo marra. Many thanks

Out of interest, what make of box trailer is that because to me it looks rather like a York?

Hi CG - yep, it’s an old York, made mid-80’s I think!■■! Am thinking about getting it MOT’d, so I can haul it to a few shows in the future. Not sure yet, will have to see what the MOT man sayeth. . . :unamused:

Not the oldest bust still past retirement age. She doesn’t get more than 1-2k of use a year but doesn’t let us down. Good backup for when the new rigs in the shop etc.

Hello sdg1970

Many thanks for that marra

I thought it was a York because a bus company around here has one exactly like that which they use for storing bus parts and old bus seats!

Lets hope that a MOT in the future will go ok!

One seen at Kington vintage show over the weekend.
