This Mickey Mouse S 21 Foden served The Dunbar Transport Family very well , It was a great bit of gear to drive, 150 Gardner, 12 Speed Foden Gearbox, 48 MPH Flat out, with a 16 tonne payload, Plus it just loved being overloaded, It use to pull like a train, Happy long gone days Im sorry to say, Regards Larry.

They had 2, God only knows how many miles they had between em but a wonderful tool. having said that I preferred the S39 for looks n the S80/3 for the driving. Cheers Coomsey

You swallowed the CPC manual Dan’l or what ? so where does it say you can park on the pavement ? Larry probably had come home after a 23 hour stint so he just stopped and got out and left it where he stopped ! He would be in the pit kipping when the Traffic Warden took that shot !

Well Dan, I was parked like this because there was a Broken Down Scania Tractor Unit opposite, He was awaiting a recovery vehicle to come ,So I said when Im finished my T.Bone steak lunch I will give you a tow back to the Scania Vabis dealers, He declined my generous offer of course,   So I just finished the T Bone & went off to load Lime for Scotland. The good old long gone days when I was King of The Road in my old Foden, Regards Larry.

Looking good there Dan,

I have a pair of Aluminium FD6s if anyone is interested. I would need help liberating them from my boat though. Location: Balbriggan, Ireland

I found this while looking for something about the FD6 engine:

All of ours had the triple diaphragm chambers on the first and second steers and they were operated by a valve on the mechanical lever for the transmission handbrake. They were ok as a secondary brake but you still only had the single transmission brake to hold 30.50 tonnes when stationary!
