I’m gonna post a few various pictures of what you can expect on BFS pulling a flat for those who hate them I sympathise
The usual outbound traffic
Du Coin USA - London Ontario, I was tramping after 2 weeks of passing my test/orientation.
Lumber my 1st re-load home on my 1st trip.
Outside the house I rented with 2 other BFS drivers.
hey wait a minute that polais load is all wrong that picture is photochopped, anyone who has worked at big freight knows they load your last drop on the back of the trailer not the front.
The headache rack was well handy for my bike!
Topped trailers heading to Brandon, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGH
Pesting with Sheffield Pete
Not one with those wonderful patchwork tarps. pitty
There you go Brentanna, a couple of sheeted shots
Where have the trailers gone■■? I must have ■■■■■■ up somehow!!!
Dont let Eric see them you ill be in remedial tarping school
See photo proof F00919 has better tires on it than the truck
Nice tidy bit of sheeting there John
Brentanna, not a lot wrong with your kit either, those chains were brand new, still not with you on the rubber either, those drive tyres have got plenty of meat on them, no cupping evident either, so everything is aligned correctly, I have to say if that was my truck and the driver moaned about the tyres, well I’d offer them a choice, put up with them or put up with them
I took care of my ties and stuff. I had left the chains on a load of Tri axles over at Balaun so Chad gave me new one’s. Chad would always give me new if he had it. When I left there were 10 new ties in the drivers side bunk, and two new load winches, 6 new chains ect. Chad had no choice on the tarps he was told to keep giving out the old one’s. I have driven trucks in conditions and places where Tom and the shop hands would think you would need tracks. That set of tires is the worst I have seen, they would be ok with a more aggressive tread but not with that tread design. But hey it is their truck, new set would last the rest of the trucks life there. After the trip to Colorada and them not even looking at the tires, it was just a matter of time. What really gets me is they claim to not have decided until they measured the tires but when I got the form from the group insurance company they had cancelled my benefits before I even pick up my last load, and cleared it on the paystub the day I left with the load. Real honest bunch there, they will get what they deserve.
Brentanna:
Those aloominum stanchion sockets don’t look very substantial, especially when you have tensioned chains running over them rather than between or through them
And rubber bungees as sheet ties, how awfully European

look again they go through them
I’ll bet your really missing the old tarping Mark I’ll bet its a real struggle opening them doors now when you could be chaining steel
A great way to keep fit trying to stand on 2 feet whilst stretching a rubber band on an icey floor
Whys Brentanna had a Volvo & every bit of new kit BFS own, are you hiding something here Chap

Dont know if I should answer or wait to see if there is a “CHAP” on here with my middle name. Here is a hint my full name is Dale Brentanna Marie says so on my birth certificate.
Nice pictures guys. I have never had a problem with Big Freight other than the fact that they are not competitive regards money although i think they were probably better when i worked there than they are now. I experienced some very interesting work there but i must admit flatdeck can sometimes be hard work especialy in winter.
Unloading a prefab building at Vegreville Ab in -39deg c.
Parked at home for christmas 2007.
the lonely hwy 10 from The Pas Mb.
Man! That job was hard in winter compared to pulling reefers or maybe i’m just soft, lol.
Load of cables from Moosejaw Sk to Salt lake city Ut.
Nice load of snow mobiles.
Yuk, peat moss on a flat, so much better in a van or reefer and those giant pencils, they really are a PITA, every ten minutes stopping to retighten the straps
Thems some fine pictures you’ve put on wire, I like the hood up shot of the KW was you hoping the CAT would warm the air a little
Bit of a white theme going down here at the mo too even getting down to -15 & the likes. Not quite as stoning as 30 below granted but my paws where aching chaining up the other night.
