On a recent regular run, 4 hrs each way, I have been taking a 500ml flask of tea and a 500ml flask of coffee.
The tea I have drunk en route, having poured it into a travelmug at a point when I have been inevitably stationary in roadworks on the M62!!!, and the coffee I have drunk with my baggin on my 45mins rest.
However, tea with milk in a flask is pretty naff, so I am looking at better options for a more perfect brew.
Any good flask recommendations ? Any good hot brew tips ?

Carry just the boiling water in the flask.Carry tea, coffee, milk etc seperately. The drink tastes much better.
This. I’ve got a 1litre flask with jars of tea coffee and powdered milk in the cab. I find pouring a hot drink is like waving a magic wand; As soon as you make one you get the “we’re ready now, Drive…”
Oh, don’t buy the cheap glass lined flasks in ASDA and shops with suntanned employees…
espresso:
ok . . . good flasks that you can recommend ? ? ?
Also, how do you enjoy your hot drinks ?

You just need a good flask or a couple of good flasks, you can get hot water for free almost anywhere you go. You get milk and sugar from the fuel stations & services, if you are cheeky you can even get teabags but they are never very good quality, the spoons are OK though!

+1
Always carry the ingredients, but nick some boiling water from wherever i’m at and save me flaskful for just in case.
SWMBO found me a plastic bottle with a central gel filled portion which you can pre freeze, keeps the milk fresh all day in the summer.
2 flasks of boiling water (1 litre stainless steel flasks), bag of tetley tea bags in door pocket, milk in a 500ml pop bottle in door pocket then place in cool box with top up milk if stopped for a long time, make a fresh brew when stationary(ish) on M62 or wherever, can get 3 mug fulls of tea out of each flask but have a stove, kettle and water carrier if I run out.
I dont use flasks at work as i tramp and have a kettle. I do however, do a lot of hill walking and use the cheap unbreakable flasks from asda that cost about £3-4. You can sometimes get them on garage forecourts as well when filling up. They are only small (250ml I think) but as you only use 1 at a time, the 2nd stays hotter for longer.
I usually just have tea ready made in them as its what the wife, kids and I all drink on the hills but it does stain/taint them quite bad so just hot water can be a good idea. Maybe pocket fulls of uht milk cartons is a solution?
Definately agree with preheating the flask first though, makes all the difference.
Ive got a 1.8L Thermos with the glass insert and as long as you pre heat it for 5 mins with boiling water its good for 15-18hrs with coffee inside…
It also doubles as a great cooler for cold water…
