Yeah…So far; so good!!

My first tip tomorrow is in Chelmsford…5:00 a.m! Give us a flash if you see me!

Incidentally, Chelmsford is my old stomping grounds…grew up and went to school there…Left for the US in 1979…cameback 2003 and almost did not recognize the place…and the traffic!! :open_mouth:

LOL

Haha, it’s changed alot in the 28 years i’ve been here (and alive), get in, and get out as quick as you can

I wont be about tomorrow, i have a rest day :sunglasses:

I was going to say if you need any help finding somewhere give me a shout, but as you lived here i guess you’ll be ok  Where you off to, Britvic?

Dunno yet…Will have to wait to get my notes. Doubt it will be Britvic tho’ as I’m doing mainly frozen stuff.

I love the fact that our Traffic office are so polite to me…“Would you mind being in Chelmsford for a 5:00a.m.tip tomorrow?”

LOL

Beats being told…“Get your ■■■ to Chelmsford by 5!!”

LOL

Maybe 'coz I’m still a newbie?..Hope it continues!!

haha, i dont get that. I just get told what route i’m on and told to ■■■■ off and get it done

sdp0121 great diary ,I’ve been on here since last night ,read it all with only a wee doze in between,Congratulations for your new jobs, did you see the pictures of Turners truck on the HSS from Stranraer or should I say nearly on the HSS ,you’ll get it on search? also you tube.
thanks fpr a good read and pics,
regards derek

What a great post. Ever thought of doing a spot of journalism!! i am glad all is working out for you.

spd0121:
The Bad:

Wait times to be tipped at certain RDC’s…More about that in a minute…

Lack of facilities at some RDC’s…

The attitude of some RDC staff…

That’s not changed then.

spd0121:
Coupled with the attitude of the bitc…ummm…witch behind the check in window…I quote; " A check in time is only the time we EXPECT you to be here. It does not mean the time that you will be tipped. We will tip you when we are ready!“…Pretentious, stuck up, inbred, obese, burger chomping, coke slurping, face stuffing, cow-eyed bloody ■■■…errr…dimwit!!!” I tell you what, she was the perfect poster child for promoting the necessity for a program of enforced sterilisation…the thought that she and her ilk will possibly…no; make that probably, breed…truly bloody frightening!!

They have bred I am sure I have met her mother at Tesco RDC 20 yrs ago lol.

spd0121:
This; coupled with Driver facilities that can only be described as disgraceful.

Something else not changed then hmmmmmm…good read Simon keep it up it reminds me why I love the job, well 99% of the time

Great read as ever SPD, look forward to the pictures

Do you have your CE, HIAB, ADR, Moffett etc  - if not, it might be worth asking your army demob adviser for the FREE training that others have mentioned is available during your last few months of service :bulb:

got class 1 had that since nov 1999 , had hazmat but it ran out a couple of years ago but re-taking that and hi-hab on resettlement course along with a hgv refresher course in october. never heard of a moffett though
