…a fireman on strike a blackmailing scumbag

You seem very bitter towards Firefighters, did you once try to get in but fail selection■■?

Next time they recruit, where ever your local brigade is, why dont you give it a go!! If you are in South Yorkshire there maybe 744 vacancies come new years day next year!!!

no, never fancied it, im not bitter to firefighters, read my posts :unamused: a firefighter is a hero, a firestriker is not

also im in bedford, long way to travel to n yorks, remind me not to let you drive for me

chunkytransport:
yes, shame maggie thatcher cant be back in, get rid of the scum in britain

what have i called anyone?

Well in my opinion your calling EVERYONE who is prepared to stand up for their beliefs by striking “SCUM”

If Posties think its unfair to be expected to complete rounds within a set time who are we to argue?

If Firemen think the only way they can stop their shift patterns being changed without their consent is to strike then who are we to argue?

I See you were an owner driver for a short period of time, have you stopped to wonder where you went wrong? I’ll give you a hint, it’s probably your attitude  Just think. if Drivers stood together you may have been still your own boss but hey, who am I to give my opinion :unamused:

I think some would be on the motorway working their days off for one of the so called blue chip companies, perhaps they might lend a hand …No I DO THINK ALL THAT WOULD BE COVERD AT LEAST I HOPE SO

yeah ok, i went bust when barns and tipping did, just applied for new o licence for jan hopefully so dont presume :unamused:
if hauliers stood together we would all get along better, there are plenty of people (one on this forum actually) who nick work and cut rates, if one haulier strikes over rates another steps in an does the work.

and mate, i dont need your opinion because your completely wrong.

you dont know why i dont like strikers you just jump to assumptions, what a small brained person you are, go back to the truckstop with your ham egg and chips and carry on boring everyone with your tales of truck driving :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

how would you feel if some accidental “small” fire couldnt be dealt with because of a strike caused the death of someone close?

also if you need website tips pm me, techno solutions as a name wont get you far up google

It’s called Competetive Business, if your prepared to snub backing others fighting for their rights then dont be Peed off when they ignore your pleas for backing :unamused:

I’ll argue with you there, your simply trying to stir up crap for your own amusement, how sad is that?

Your opinion speaks for itself, you think the working man should be like a pet and done as he is told, in one of your past posts you mentioned how you had 2 artics, 1 standing idle because of the drivers not being up to your standard FFS !!! is it any wonder you went bust with that Attitude ?

maggieT:

As an Ex part time fireman I can speak from pesonal experience, and if you could not cope with a small accidental fire then it cant be that small can it? which makes it all the more reason you should be supporting emergency crews of every sector !!!

Well as Techno Solutions has had sales in excess of £41,000 since April (Which Excludes VAT) I dont think the website is doing too badly is it? Try using Hour Guard in Google like almost every other person carrying out a search :grimacing:

you havent a clue.

anyway apologies to everyone else for the calling of scum, it would be good if everyone had a union then non union members may be able to understand the need to strike. i personally find it annoying that unions all get together but we all wont get together on things like fuel protests.

if you must strike just give a thought to people who need these services.

your not scum, but you are frustrating, i hope you get what you want so it can stop

Looks at the thread title, looks at the content, looks at the thinly vieled personal attcks… takes a long hard look at the pre moderation button

guys get this discussion back on track and take any slanging matches/I am better than you/you have got a big nose type comments to PM or e-mail- or the pre mod hammer WILL fall

Does anyone know what the big deal is anyhow, there not losing staff, money or time off from what i can see, its merely that there changing to 12 hour shifts rather than the cushy 15hour night shift.

are the posties on strike today? usually i get a landfill site of rubbish through the door but not a sausage today

I expect it’s to do with sleepy time. If they have to do a few training exercises during a 15hr shift, they still have time to get a few pints in and enough sleep to carry out their second job. If the shift is reduced to just the 12hrs, the chances are, once they have completed a few exercises they only get a couple of hrs kip before having to rush off to their other full time job.

Considering they are paid a monthly salary, I think they should work a 6 days on 2 days off shift. No extra money, just expected to earn what they already get over paid for. As it is they get paid twelve months salary a year, turn up for work six months a year and only actually do any work if they are called out. Say three months a year.
Twelve months pay for three months work and they had the neck to go on strike a few years back for a 40% pay rise.
