ex-oakland now used for egg storage & collection point , on an organic farm in devon

jonnytruckfest:
I managed to get one on saturday of the ‘grave yard’ for all the old trailers.

Wow, that yard was always full of trailers, mostly tankers and fridges. Does TIP Trailers stil use this depot at knottingley?.
The last time i was there, was in 2002-you couldnt move for new and used trailers.Plus the tank-washing yard was nearby too!.

Cheers

Phil.

The body on that first one (left) looks ok, as the others do to !

They still use these, used for moving fish and fish guts. The yellow bulker would have belonged to UFP … United Fish Processors i think it stands for.

yellow bulker belongs to harbour haulage, the two white tanks belong to fresh catch and the yellow tank belongs too ufi ( united fish industries)

been keepin me eye out !

here’s one that got into farming

this one’s doing it’s bit for the environment or very determined to stay retired

ex- channel express now used for putting rubish / scrap onto

a workshop i pass specialises in shortening trailers back to two axles, refurbed & sold to hauliers on the IOW

ex-wincanton tanker now transports water about farms

Over the years i have come across this little lot while trying to find one to put behind my Scania 141. You’d never believe its so difficult to get the owners to want to part with them!!

think I may have pulled that blue tilt at some point in the 90’s
still got a spare wheel in the carrier “just in case”, wonder if theres any tins of food left over in the side boxes

If that is TIP in Knottingley they are probably still on the for sale list, tankers that are out of contract and could be bought by Africans and Russians

truckerjames123:
Some of them trailers look neat !

not milk marque but MilkLink but i dare say it’s ex milkmarque ex gregory 40** or ex Interoute 30** tank. a lot of the Interoute liner trailers were converted twin potters , awfull tanks to pull

there used to be lots of trailers on the road to lasham airfield ,on the right hand side after the entrance to the oil wells
not sure if they are still there
