Fernwoods do gypsum from Drax & West Burton power stations. Hardstaffs do gypsum ffrom Ratcliffe power station.
Ah ha!
Thanks for that weeto. Never knew that. Thought it was purely natural.
Never stop learning
I just treated myself to a dash-cam for my impending birthday.
A wise investment I think, considering I seem to spend most of my working day surrounded by these Fernwood clowns.
Stay tuned for some shocking footage…
Knauf import gypsum by ship from European power stations into their Immingham & Sittingbourne factories, all UK power stations output of gypsum is/was tied into deals with British Gypsum

Gypsum rock or board ?
Gypsum, as in the by-product from Ratcliffe and Drax power station, thay obviously haven’t found a big enough market for it, and so will be stored their at the tax payers expense, just like any other “green” initiative!!
It’s not at tax payers expense I work for British gypsum at Sherburn and they have a contract to pay for the DSG if they take it from draw or not that’s why they is also a stock pile at Gascoigne wood next to where the big tyre fire was recently
I heard they were going to use it for the next winter olympics
in case theres no snow
I had my first experience of a fernwood driver last Friday… Flew past me as if I was standing still - that said I was in one of our Rugby units so speed wasn’t available. That said I wouldn’t of kept up with him in my old daf. He didn’t deviate from his straight course and gave me plenty of room.

You need to ask a few more questions & interpret the answers in a slightly more cynical way, to ever have a hope of arriving at the truth.
These mountains of gypsum that exist for all to see & enjoy shouldn’t actually be there, should they?
