In the heavy goods vehicle book it states that you can slightly touch the barrier on test, and explain this to the examiner before the test and even show him in the book. you are allowed to touch a bay at a yard. so just get closer dont panic.
Maybe this should be in another thread called “How to really annoy examiners and make sure you fail”. Possibly some of the worst advice I’ve ever seen on here!
The advice from LGV Trainer is considerably more sensible. Though , personally, I’m happy that candidates are allowed to get out and check.

Some Other Ways to Wind an Examiner up
Tell him to hurry up when he’s a minute late coming into the waiting room. The appointment says 10.15 and it’s now 10.16
Let him know how good you are before the test and how failing is not an option
Tell him you wish the old examiner was back at the centre. You hear this one marks unfairly
Turn the radio on during the test because you need to listen to a race you’ve got money on
Any of the above will have more chance of making him smile than the 1st paragraph
ps. All in jest, please dont try any of the above advice at home lol

my retest is 18th November, next Monday but I have had no more lessons or sessions in the truck since my last failure, I do have a 2 hour refresher shall we say the morning of the test
im wondering or worrying weather or not I should be asking for a lesson or so before the actual test day?
im inclined to think so…
but whats changed I could drive last time?
what do u think?

Its like riding a bicycle after not doing so for a few years - it all comes back very quickly
The only help i can give is no tv on the night before the test.
A hot bath,a hot drink with malt in it like Horlicks and Kalms pills from Boots to calm nerves.Phones off.Door bell battery removed.
I failed the artic test due to nerves.
Not a heavy meal at night as that keeps you awake.
Do not panic if what you learnt is forgoten. It will come back. The brain is like a computer and files information away until it is needed.
Best of luck.Have a pint if it is a PASS.
