You license photo does not have to show you wearing glasses just because you’ve got a code 01 on your license, I’ve got code 01 on my license and have never had a license photo taken whilst wearing glasses.
Actually I’m not sure if you’re allowed to wear glasses on the photo but I’m sure someone will know.

There’s no law that says you must carry a spare pair of glasses and no fine for not having a spare pair of glasses.
Having said that I always carry a spare pair just in case one pair get broken, makes sense if you can’t legally or safely drive a vehicle without wearing them
I can only suggest that you spend less time reading the crap posted on that other forum … and spend more time reading the crap that’s sometimes posted of this forum

Sounds like the best kind of drivertalk. A fact from one story transferred into another to make it sound better.
Most european countries do require that wearers of glasses, like me, carry a spare pair, France and Spain for sure.
The law of common sense works in this country.

Nick

You can wear glasses for the photograph, although it isn’t a legal requirement and the DVLA say it is preferable to remove the glasses.
However as you would expect there are restrictions. You cannot wear sunglasses or those with a tint, the frame of the glasses must not obscure your eyes and the glasses should not cause any glare or reflection. In other words it’s easier just not to wear them for the photo.
thanks very much re info offered there u guys, will act on it >cheers!.
