Would a 7.5t jet vac tanker for waste sewage be exempt from tacho rules? The vehicle is plant fitted onto a chassis cab. Vehicle only used on occasion for purpose of the job its meant for.

Other sites selling these vehicles have referred them to exempt. If a vehicle is exempt would you need to apply for an exemption.

From what you’ve said it sounds like it would come under the EU exemption for sewage work.

You don’t have to apply for an exemption, either the vehicles/job is exempt or it’s not.
