Exam Requirement Question

Hi all

I’ve been trying to contact the DVSA for a couple of weeks now to get an answer, but they’re almost impossible to get any information from in a decent timeframe. Wondered if anyone here could help.

Car Licence passed pre-1997. I took my 35 hour CPC course in 2020 as well as passing the medical. I sent off for tand received he Driver Qualification Card and Driver Tach Card. Then lockdown scuppered my further plans. I am now continuing my training and have completed the Theory and Hazard Perception tests. My question is, will I need to complete the Mod 2 Case Study test as well, with having the DQC and having done the 35 hour CPC? It doesn’t appear on my exam booking options and when I completed the two other exams I received a letter from the DVSA saying I could book my practical test.

Many thanks

Col

No. Absolutely not.
You also don’t have to do mod 4. Just 3a and 3b. Good luck [emoji106]

The system will not let you book mods 2 + 4 because you already have a DQC from getting the 35 hours with your pre 97 LGV C1

You can get more periodic hours which you can save towards your next DQC

Fantastic. Thanks!
