An arguement occured,a soldier was fined by the courts,but the fine and a possibilty of a custodial sentence was avoided by the report from a Chief Fire Officer,whose statement to the CPS reduced his fine.
The soldier was angry,and was going to burn the petrol pumps and himself at a garage,the point is the Fire officer report states there was no risk of the 30,000 litre fuel bunkers exploding,as there is a small amount of fuel in the nozzles for an explosion to occur,does he mean a cut off switch,may be Diesel Dave or some ADR tanker fuel drivers offer an opinion,on how the guy could have blown up the garage.
all garages have kill switches in the kiosk, its the vapour that explodes not the petrol, since he would not be able to get any petrol out the nozzle he would not get any vapour either

a grenade or RPG at the intake valves i’d guess where they pump the fuel into anyway had he lit match etc etc the secure foam would be released and out would go his flame

Couse there is a ‘kill switch’ but there is still fuel in the line as it doesnt get ride of the fuel in the hose.
The Hose is ALWAYS full of fuel.

. so why when you press the lever the fuel doesnt come out surely gravity would make it before the pump kicked in
In the newspaper report,i read the cashier did activate some sort of switch,when he was ranting and raving with a match/lighter in his hand.
but if he had real intention of doing that why not just pull up and instead of pumping gas into your car pour it over the floor etc etc, then you’d cause panic as you stand there and flick your cigar/lighter like on die hard 2 and say yippe ki ay
