Euroshell

Just after a few pointers as to where to get fuel on said card.
The eldest is doing his first Euro job to Lyon next week (in a van) and will need a few fuel stops.
Thanks in advance.

From Calais

1st stop on A26 is aire de rely (1st services)

2nd stop on A26 just before Reims (cant remember the name) or 30 mins ish after on A26 towards Troyes at sommosous

3rd stop macon on A6 !!! This is a long hit in our van&trailer so you might need a can as its just too far for me but you might do it without the trailer…I stop nr Dijon and fill up in a supermarket.

There are a few shells on the Rn off the autoroutes but many of these are closed down or changed owner so be careful if you’ve got a sat nav and its not right upto date as they lie.

Return is easier as near Dijon is a newish shell which is ideal to get back up to sommosous then to the last services on the A26 before Calais…

What ^he^ said. There are loads of Shell service stations en route.

Not sure about the shell euro cards, but with the esso euro card you could also use shell garages as well in some countries, France being one that you could, Belgium was a no no , our esso cards had a number 3 IIRC on the top right , which indicated that you could use esso partners , so the same may be possible with the euro shell card

When you find the first Shell station there is normally a very good route planning map showing all the other stations, plus the fact the French sign them very well with distance to the next 3 service areas, showing brand and price.

Shame they don’t sign the petrol station brand over here on the motorway, sometimes you can’t see the canopy before you get off, very annoying if you’re low and have to get back on.

100% agree, price and brand should be on the sign, there is no problem putting adds for the likes of costa, starbucks ect.

You can use your Shell cards on some other networks stations, should as Avia. You often find them in small towns. But not at all of them!
