European driver seeking work preferably yorkshire but will t

FREDERICK:
LETS HOPE WE DONT MEET .

Ha ha ha ok then. Join the queue for those that want to MEET me, the end of it is a mile and half :arrow_right: :arrow_right: that way.

Just think like this you’ve got a job driving and he hasn’t

Is that game set and match :grimacing:

I didn’t mean to bicker with fred, but so far he has got 2 threads on page the euro forum, 1 thread in the drivers vacancies forum and he has also had a thread in the pdf all exactly the same!!!

He is only going to get the same answers as in his other thread again.

I mean to be fair whatever area you live and in the type of work you do, you will know all the firms and what they are about, take kr79 for example, he is a tipper driver in london. I expect he knows most off the tipper firms, what they pay and what work they do in london.

A european driver based in the west midlands will know most if not all the euro firms in a 50 mile radius of where he lives.

The next point is, the days of being chucked the keys and being waved off to Italy and not knowing where next are long gone. Most European firms with english drivers have set runs on a set timescale and if you are lucky enough to get on with them there is normally a pecking order or waiting list to get on it.

There are firms like ray whites, ptm and brian yeardleys when you don’t know when your coming back but again they all have waiting lists a mile long.

The chances off being approached for a job off these forums for what is turning out to be highly sought after work is slim to none, especially when no one knows who you are.

Another point is that winds me up… take part in the forums. Don

Another point is take part in the forums give a little back, don’t just come and want something but don’t take part.

Freds first post and thread was on this subject at the beginning off sept and has he posted on any other subjects… .no.

Brian Yeardley are struggling to get men in their trucks at the moment, lovely vehicles, poor remuneration and absolutely run to the letter

My ex boss in Wakefield use to do some sub contract work for Yeardley.Their efficiency and paper work was 100% spot on.I used to see Brian wearing his cravatte in the yard.A real gentleman.
Groupage work is not everyones cup of tea.Marmite.Love it or hate it.
Bit of a downer when an Italian factory shuts dead on at 16.00 and you get there too late to tip but if you had tipped that gets you 60 miles up the road for the next drop.
I knew some drivers (not Yeardleys.) that would refuse to go to Italy. They must of heard the tales of hijackers and truck robbers.
Its Naples or the Napoli area which is dodgy.
The North is no problem.Milan.Brescia areas.
Some parts are quite poor.

Would tend to agree with JD on this point. People pop up wanting something, then toddle off without giving anything in return. Like Frederick says its about helping drivers, maybe he could participate and help others with his experience…

To be fair the two most common queries by first time posters must be where can i get a job doing euro work or if i buy a lorry and go on containers will i be the next eddie stobart in six months.

Mind you bankrupt and dead of a heart attack is quite possible.

Ok point taken but on the other hand would it not be better if JD came on and explained himself instead of some sarcastic remark .
I have had a HGV licence for 26 -27 yrs and worked for 2 companies in all that time delivering all sorts over the UK and Europe and things have changed a great deal, so I am struggling to get to grips with the big wide world . I was brought up old school where drivers helped each other and JD comes on and says what he does , so you see your backside and hit back

FREDERICK:
do not want lhd ,

then dont bother waiting for TransAm to get back to you, they are all left hookers!

And i wouldnt bother looking abroad for a job if you dont want to drive a left ■■■■■■ :exclamation:

Sending Cv’s is a waste of time. They just filed in the filing department;two cabinets full of them.
To get Pulleyns, you need to arrange a time to have an interview. The stuff they haul is worth millions.

I was not looking for a job abroad , they saw my advert on this site and sent a message ,told them no thanks but they have sent another message wanting to talk so I have said ok ringing me today . Are they ok

Theses are the guys Ex Nedexco I think… ?

Ok thanks ,will wait for there call and see what they are offering ,they seem keen after turning them down

Don’t think van uden employ you directly, used to be thru an English agent on a self employed basis, mostly frozen goods on a channel hopping type operation.

Nev1, your competition? Thought you had sold out or is this a different nev.
