I’m looking to get into driving class 1 in Europe either in Austria or Germany and was wondering if anyone on here knows of any companies out there that take British drivers on,tall order probably but any info greatly appreciated.
Nottheger is a large family owned firm in Austria hauling bulk food and liquid tankers and general haulage all over Europe/Turkey and Russia.
They are based in the Tyrol Valley near Waidring.Scheider transport haul juice tankers from Germany to the UK and Europe.Top of the range Mercedes fleet on tankers.

Can you speak some German ? If not maybe if your’e serious then a crash course in German might give you a better chance.

Yes they have good kit see them in Framptons a lot but i was told the job they do is considered the more lower end of the scale with regards to driving jobs in Germany.
Scheiders do not employ EE drivers.

I saw an ad in a truck mag.Rang the firm.He said keys hidden on top radiator.Truck in Calais.Hungarion driver bring paper work for the truck.
I got the bus to Dover.Foot passenger to Calais.
It was Lindner transport.Austrian who took on Brits.
Paid on time.It was hauling steel from Yorkshire to Spain.But you had to fill up in Luxembourg.
I broke down near Stanstead and they refused to pay for the hotel while the Scania was in the garage.It was a good experience.

Parked some weekends at home in the UK,an ex milatary gent called the police.Objected to me parking and said the truck attracted crime in the village,he said park 7 miles away at the service station.

Ahh i see, looking to relocated to germany then? Nice people the germans and despite what some english people think their actually really funny, they talk about the war on an almost daily basis and asking a western german if he’s from eastern german is quite amusing.

Best bet I think is Adolf Ebner based in Austria near Salzburg and they go to Ireland a lots
I have never had a problem with the Germans or Austrians.Polite and well dressed.You can have a laugh.Prompt loading and unloading.
I was driving at night and saw a factory or a refinery,and no joke,it must have been about two miles long.Lit up like a town.
