For what ever reason people you have come for interviews at my place of work have accepted a job then decided at last minute to not take it which is fair enough.
We need a driver to start today for a run to do collections in Romania and either Czech Republic or Holland.
If you have experience and can start today please pm me asap
look to be fair i think the problem is although you do get about, sleeping across the seats for 2 weeks in a sprinter just is not favourable unless your an umpalumpa.
if it was a walk through sprinter with the fridge mounted on top then maybe as you sort of sort some sleeping arrangement in the back, but the fridge van you have at the moment is crap.
another thing on your diarys which are good but too honest too many breakdowns, doing an extra 3rd week and being limited to 60mph.
I do sort of agree with what your saying JD. In a perfect world we would have had the best vans for the job at the start. Normal panel vans don’t have the voloume that we need so boxes it has to be. We have new vans on order so the ones we have were always temporary.
Sleeping across the seats is not for everyone but we now have 3 trucknet members on the job. That’s me, bigvern and now Animal.
I have seen vans where the driver or the boss has fitted a conversion in the cab for a bunk bed on wooden floor that you can fold down or up to make space for the cargo as well.
This all sounds like a firm I worked for years ago. Everything up in the air, disaster just round the corner but the job got done. It was fun for a few years!
