Euro advice needed

when in europe, who is resposible for the equipment in the lorry i.e hi. vis warning triangle, 1st aid kits etc, if stopped, is is down to the driver or owner■■? who gets the fine??

It’s your employer’s responsibility to provide it, although it’s you who will be fined.

If you get stopped and fined, then you just phone your employer and tell him there is a fine that needs paying and the Police won’t let you move until it’s paid. Then he’ll pay it.

Or he will tell you to pay it and he will refund it when you get back, if you’re lucky. I do Euro work for a number of companies and have yet to find any first aid kit etc in any lorry so it’s probably best to just buy it yourself and keep it in your car when not working.

btw. there’s no work here in NI, euro work is all that’s available unless one want to work for £7ph

Then you just tell him you don’t have the means to pay it. If you start working for someone and they ask you if you have your own credit/debit cards, you just say No.
