Back in the days before DCPC, when I was a TM then a recruitment consultant, I always maintained that I could teach basic EU tacho law to a person of average intelligence, up to a level where they could safely do a week’s work without transgressing, inside half an hour.
The most difficult ones were those who’d been doing it wrong for twenty years and THOUGHT they knew it all!

Yep, a lot in that:
Older drivers remembering what the laws used to be. (and then repeating that to newbies)
As Luke mentions it is normally 9hrs driving per working day, not 9hrs per 24. But it used to be 9hrs per 24. Similarly a split full rest is now 3+9 although it used to be 8+4.
It isn`t drivers forgetting things, it is not forgetting things that is the problem. 
Yup, without fail the ones who insist I’m wrong on tiktok are older men who rapidly throw out the ‘I’ve been driving 30 years you can’t teach me anything’ in an attempt to shut me down. Lots of them on tiktok think I’m just a pen pusher or new driver with no real world experience

Ain’t watched it yet Luke,.but yeah 3 mins sounds like my kind of CPC course. 
Sure, I’ve been driving for 30 +, years but you could certainly teach me stuff, problem is though I aint that interested ,.I’m maybe a lost cause…but I must be doing summet right as I seem to get by with no infringements on my ‘what I NEED to know’ basis.
