Totally agree it is a tax… It also unfairly targets the poorest in society.
It will probably need up going through eventually just good publicity for the council or who ever. They can go well we tried we listened to the residents but we can’t stop it .

Most county councils in England signed the climate emergency in 2019-2020 to introduce CAZ’s to limit emissions of private car usage, Essex County Council didn’t sign the climate emergency. It’ll be interesting to read the courts ruling which is due at the end of this month.
