Post 18/01/73 then. Robert
Indeed and if I am correct also the Partrick had a dynair

That’s interesting, A-J. I wonder if there is a link between 3/4/5/6MW cabs with that alternative square grille and those fitted with Dynair equipment. Robert
John3300 then remarked the dynair (heavy) cooling-system on the Hydrocar as well as the Beresford
and possibly (many) more…perhaps ERF-P can tell more and surely John3300 himself.

To avoid confusion, I think you mean: ‘ERF’, which is his user name. Let’s hope they bite! Robert
I am reliably informed, by a former fitter for Richard Read, that HDF 228N was not converted to RHD as reported in an auction cutting earlier in this thread. It was always RHD. Therefore it can be dropped from the list of LHD ‘Euro-spec’ 5MWs. However, it did nonetheless see Middle-East service with the Vijore group. Robert
From the 30 LHD 3MW/5MW chassis it’s likely that 22 were assembled by CDB in Brussels. Close to the
initial 20 that were scheduled then. Michel Hansquin can’t recall/confirm the exact number but at least
it is around the 20 figure. It makes sense that the NL, B, and Lux chassis were assembled on the continent
(the André Lecoq 6x4 excluded) and the UK chassis saw Sun Works.

Who is Michel Hansquin? Perhaps you could remind us. Robert
Oeps, I skipped this one…
Michel Hansquin was also a sales manager in the group of Eddie Deleers (sales director) just as Walter Gheys.
Both handled ERF, White and Autocar in the seventies. Herman Meijers was sales director after Eddie Deleers
enjoyed retirement and after Herman Meijers accepted a M/E-function in Quatar for ■■■■■■■■ Jean-Gilbert
Denonville (grandson of the founder Arthur Denonville) became sales director. When CDB was sold to parent
■■■■■■■■ Michel accepted a function as manager in Mechelen and Jean-Gilbert filled the gap in the Scania-
network, which was handled by Denonvile between 1949 and 1979. That outlet is in Couvin, near Charleroi.
Michel is a (business-)friend of Alexander, living both in Mechelen.

Thank you for clarifying. And useful that both you and Alexander have a valuable contact in Mechelen. The Benelux mystery is better solved by such information. Robert
Rumour has it that this one is now being rescued for restoration. I do hope this is true! Robert

Struth , I was there a couple of months ago & had to climb over/onto piles of stuff just to get a half-decent picture of it, did they get a Sea-King in to lift it out? Chris

Bruv is not short of big f-off cranes !
Just found attached picture on the net, registration GFH727N, Gloucester-region
Mr. Rikki Chequer,
Apparently you only hear and see one side of the ‘story’ over here
as the picture IS available on the internet!
Nice day,
A-J
It’s crisp and clear to me now that TNUK has a double agenda in this case
and dislikes a conflict with sponsor and publisher Old Pond Publishing. On
the picture of Mr. Chequer (in toxedo) I recognized a gentleman, however
he does not bother and ends having no time to solve this issue. I predict
a lot of issues will appear here as in fact every poster here neglects to add
the name of copyright or even pictures from ‘own’ collections appearing to
have a copyright sooner or later. I very much regret to being an active and
loyal poster and ask you to remove ALL of my content here. Thank you!

This is the 2nd time you have done this, abusing the trust I place in you. Please remove it immediately.
Thank you. Robert
Oi! I’m the chief copyright transgressor on here, or so a certain “policeman” continually alleges, and I don’t want a rival, especially him . It seems that the pot calls the kettle black, in good time before revealing its own true colours.
All that nonsense aside, are we to take it that the second book contains lots of nice 3 and 5 MWs?
