Well, your 13sp twin split is still an Eaton / Fuller box!.

Well any chance I get to show Gertie off, she sailed through the MOT last September. The boys in the yard keep popping
in and asking if they can shunt trailers with her. This was taken at our Preston Red Scar yard by J31A of the M6. regards Big AlHi Big Al,
Great pic, looks as though Stobarts might have tanker competition?
Take it easy,
Rgds,

Sorry I meant I prefer Twin Splits to Fuller 9/13 speeds. When I actually learn to drive properly I will be ok!
Good to know that Castle shunter is still alive. Two of their guys had said it was going for scrap a couple of months ago and offered us some bits off it but we never heard anymore. Not sure what state it would be in after a few years shunting though.

We seem to be confusing each other here!. The Eaton Fuller gearbox is basically a 4 speed main gearbox with a crawler (giving 5 forward speeds). With a high / low range spilt added behind it becomes a 9 speed (8 gears through hi / low range and a crawler) as per the RTX11609A etc. When another range is then added, they become 13 speed twin splitters (12 speeds through the 3 hi / low ranges and a crawler giving 13 speeds).
