I’m sure LVs count on this thread.
This is one my Grandad used to drive OEW 547J a Gardner 180 , pulling a Parker plant stone crusher out of parkers gate in L eicester… About 75- ish.
One of our old ones.
Another shot of NEC299P stood in the depot at Milnthorpe with the night trunk Bowater load for West Thurrock which it will run to Daventry and return with 20 ton of pulp for the mill at Beetham. Its day shift would be to Lancashire and back or possibly down to Barrow for a day’s shunting, loading 4 or 5 trailers.
Spot the deliberate mistake…Doh.
These really are C series.

This is a shot of our first ERF “A” series seen when new in the yard at Milnthorpe Sept '73. At the time we were struggling to get Atki’s so when Eden Commercials of Carlisle offered us an “A” series more or less the same spec as the Borderer I jumped at it!!! 220 ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ 609/Kirkstall HR.This was a smooth running tractor but never seemed to pull like the Atki’s.
Here’s a B series from a rather famous company…

Heres another old Henleys “B” series.

Hiya Malc,I thought power steering was standard on the “A” series—as they say you learn something every day!!! But I think “our Lad” (■■■■) knocked P/S of the spec sheet so as to save a few bob!!Well he had to see that his Racehorses were well looked after didn’t he!! Cheers Dennis.
Loaded and ready to rock and roll, due to personnel family reason I have been unable to get to any shows this year,
