Hello “the roadrunner”
Just seen your post ond pics of the old B series XJD 359T.
Im pretty sure this would be an ex BP Oil tanker. My father drove for BP from 1970’s to 1990’s and there were many XJD registered tankers at his depot in Essex. In fact we recently found one of the 8 wheelers he used to drive XJD 366T which is still in use and we met with the owners and they took us out for a run in it.
Im also looking for an ex BP ERF - good luck with your restoration.

And the trailer is on tubeless ! Bewick.
If you want to see some B-series ERFs in action, they star in that 1987 BBC series called Truckers. I remember it being a flop at the time because the transport industry was up in arms about how badly the series represented it. That didn’t stop it from being entertaining in parts. All 8 episodes are now online. Here’s the link. Enjoy.

Here you go Robert…guess who owns this now, and then guess who wants to buy it and where it is working today still.

Wow! I posted a picture of this on the LHD E-series thread a long time ago to see if anyone knew anything about it. I’ll transfer these pics to that thread now. Any more more info? Is it Graham Ball? And is it you who’s first in the queue? Robert
Graham ball has it running around bahrain, and bully wants it !

Well if you do manage to wrest it from his grasp and you need someone to drive it back to Blighty (preferably in convoy with your lorry on a return trip) then just give me a shout! Robert
I fancied it myself , if I drive it back I’m keeping it !

Here’s a C-series with an identity crisis - either that or its a hybrid! Found it on Flikr. Robert0
Maybe the poor thing wishes it was born to different parents?
That’s not me at the wheel, but I did drive this old ■■■■■■■ many occasions. She had a Roller 265 in, and one of the best 9sp Fuller installations I’ve come across - lovely to drive! Robert
