Entress Transport Swansea

merlin:
You werent far wrong Chris, Glyn John had white Seddon Atks and were based at Pontypridd, at Taffs Well are Rhys Davis who are still going strong.
Ely were bough by Glyn John, and then moved out of Ely to the Docks. They wrere then bought by Scuddens BH Transport who also bought febrys and Prices. On my Dads 63rd birthday they went into recievership and he was finished…best thing that ever happened to him…hes still going well at 80!

 Not too bad a guess then.Rhys Davis has been going a long time and two more names there:- R.W.Febry from Chipping Sodbury and T.J.E.Price from Cardiff.Have i got them right? Price were in a red livery and so were Febry who ran a lot of tippers.
Do you know if H.Morgan from Cwm are still running?

I think Morgans of Cwm are still going with a few trucks from the same yard they’ve been in for last 20-30 years. They are just down the valley from Ebbw vale which now has no steelworks at all [bulldozed].

Anyone remember Walls recovery when they used to have their Mack, Diamond T etc. parked by the A48 at Castleton and on standby at the old Severn bridge?

May be of interest regarding the original post:

Hi lads. Been off line for a bit, but back now.Mech77, I remember Wall’s well! They’re still around, but hidden away on an industrial estate just off j28. Got some fantastic kit now though. They always put on a good static display on the thid Sunday in September at the Leukemia Research classic car rally in Tredegar park, Newport. It’s a good date for your diary.

I’ve just remembered that Wall’s have a website - Google Wall’s Trucks. Some great pics on there.

Chris Webb:
