English Lad, with Cdn Citizenship, Truck School in On

Hi Ladies and Gents,

I have been back in the UK for 4 years (after divorce from Cdn ex) and am thinking of returning to On.

As the ex now has the house, and me being an adventurous lad, I fancy a spell of OTR, for a year or 2, to get my feet back and see my son the odd weekend.

So a couple of questions for you good people…

a) good AZ school in On ? (I have not heard good things about Humber)

b) prospects for a NEW AZ/older driver, 13 years in Canada 10 in On. and 3 in BC. Late 40’s. Full G Licence (On) and UK HGV 2. (not used much)

c) I am thinking "IF’ the job situation, is, like I have heard, then 8-10,000 miles to start per month at 40cents 'ish per mile might be realistic.

So a bit different from a lot of Brit Lads and Lass’… wanting to move over

in that I have lived in Canada for while, have citizenship etc. I was in Toronto last week (amazing weather) but as we all know, things are different from the inside…

Apart from all the “are you totally Mad?” statements any positive or negative/sensible input would be appreciated. (I know one school charges about $7,000 cdn incl skid school 7-8 week course)

Cheers, let the fun commence…
