Ian,
I don’t know you, you don’t know me but i feel for you 100% m8.
Sometimes life is an arse & i have been at rock bottom a few times myself, only to bounce back & do it all over again.
Some are destined to spend a lifetime doing mundane tasks to survive, good on them, they deserve the security they work for. Others of us just never learn & go through life up & down like a dorises drawers
Pick your sorry arse up, dust yerself down & start all over again in a couple of years - you will because you CAN
Good Luck m8

Sorry to hear your bad news Ian, you didn’t buy a lucky charm from NSH by any chance ■■
You’ve given it a go - and it didn’t work out, you had a lot of problems that weren’t your fault -
Best wishes and good luck for whatever you do next
Very sorry to hear of your misfortunes, I am sure it will all pick up in the new year and you can look back at this and realise it made you a stronger person.

Ian…i`ve heard some bad news in my time…yours just beat them all…i feel sorry for you and your family…and your business…thank god you survived…i did have a thought though…when you re- mortgaged…was the insurance clause put to the company in writing…if it was …you may have some re-dress.
I think your a fighter ian…and you can bounce back…you have your health…and your family…and i wish you all the very best for 2006
regards trucky

im very sorry to here whats happened to ya mate.but a least you and your family are ok.good luck with the future mate
I can only echo what the others have said and it is sad news indeed.
You talked to NSH on the phone and then your troubles started? Oh hell, he phoned me the other day, I’m off to check my various insurance policies and to change my phone number.
Sorry to hear your bad news Ian. I think as long as we (you) can learn something from all situations we encounter in life, especially the not-so-good ones, then all is not lost. I really hope you get what you want and where you want to go in life.
As for the insurance, my father had a situation where it transpired he had not had buildings insurance for over two years; this didn’t come to light until his foundations were affected by tree roots. He went to the Insurance Ombudsman and ‘won’ his case - there is quite a lot of paperwork (that would be hard for you to miss at the time) that should be generated when insurance stops. As such, he won his case on a technicality i.e. one document not being produced by the company for his signature.
I thought buildings insurance was a compulsary pre-requist of a mortgage/remortgage??
Good luck.
sorry to here what has happened to you Ian
hope next year is better than this, at least it is just round the corner
Christ i’m shocked at that Ian,not that your calling it a day but the fact you where on fire,i hope you are ok and not badly hurt.I hope the family are all ok and if you’s are all fine then that is the most important part. The house can be re-built and the truck’s can be bought again once you and the family get on your feet again.
please accept my sympathies Ian ( i mean that m8 )
Good luck in the future
Best of luck.
