Edinburgh low emission zone

LOL Edinburgh council are spending £2000/day on vehicle hire to cope with it’s own Low Emission Zone.

Same with all councils that have clean air zones.
You’d of thought thought thed be able to get away with paying it be exempt.
Same as emergency service. Don’t know if there exempt…if not they should be

The City of Edinburgh Council is having to fork out £2,000 a day for replacement rental vehicles to comply with its own low emission zone (LEZ).

That should read "The Council-Tax Payers of The City of Edinburgh are having to fork out £2,000 a day for replacement rental vehicles to comply with its own low emission zone (LEZ).

If the council exempted council vehicles it would be seen as hypocrisy, and anyway it’s only tax payers money so… :slightly_frowning_face:

Ambulances currently have an exemption for the London ulez, as they’ll all need upgrading at a cost of around £140k each, or £65 million

From what I can hear when they are passing I on call I don’t think domestic fire trucks have much in the way of silencing let alone DPFs.
