Eddie Stobart dead

It does seem rather ironic that he was limited to 56!
RIP

I hear that Eddie Stobart trucks are going to do a convoy down the M1 in honour of his funeral.

I can’t help feeling that nobody will notice.

I want to say something about Eddie Stobart’s death but I’m just not very articulated.

Apparntly he’s going to have two funeral corteges that will travel alongside each other with a 0.1mph speed differential.

They are making a film of his life.

The trailer is already out…

:unamused:

I think you have missed the ferry with that one and the dead line has passed

The funeral is at Carlise cathedral on Saturday 9th April at 11am

Crazytrucker:
Whilst 56 is no age, I extend my deepest sympathies to his family, which will be no consolation to all the small hauliers he put out of business over the years.
It had to be said.

Dons tin hat!

Boy scouts had to cancel bob a job week … Stobarts undercut them.
RIP Eddie and sorry I told you what I thought of your company and that tart you had as a Recriuter. (but I meant everything I said)

I keep seeing this thread and each time I do it still comes as a shock to me, like realising that I will never see the girls PE teacher naked again.

wonder how Topgun is

I heard he died of a heart attach after getting the Diesel bill for his trucks

A very fair and fitting tribute to Edward Stobart in this weeks Commercial Motor.

rip edward hope the decent thing is done and a truck gets named in your honour

already done and comes out the paint shop friday (just in time for the bid event)
it’s been done in the old livery and custom built for the top stobart driver
come’s with prescription windscreen and flavoured windows as standard

I advise you find out a bit more about the Stobart you are referring to,Edward Stobart sold out years ago,and had nothing to do with Eddie Stobart transport…its an insensitive and thoughtless comment anyway.

As a mark of respect for Eddie Stobart, rather than a post-mortem, they had one of his drivers cut him up on the M6.

I only hope the undertaker puts him in a box & not a curtainsider.

Post mortem results announced, it was tachograghycardia…

…some people will read these quips and think to themselves the’re truck drivers writing this…
…this is what edward stobart tried to do get people up the ladder and out of the gutter…
…I never liked his ideas…i never had to work for the man but i know that i would.nt
…of had a 13 year old truck to drive and have second hand pass me downs
if i’d have needed a job with him … give him some respect i would’nt think many people really
had a lot to do with him… i thought he started his outfit in early 80’s but there are photos of
R reg trucks thats 1976 so so at 21 or 22 years of age he was running new trucks…
How many people achived that.
