You’re not wrong there. Eddie was good for Eddie, that’s it. I have the same respect for him as I do for Tossco, Wincanton, DHL,etc. None.
Anybody would think ■■■■■■■ Mother Theresa had snuffed it again.

I am both surprised and ashamed at the lack of respect for the man being shown on this site.
As that was probably directed at me, I did already add my condolences on the first thread that was posted about this topic.
out of hours time to park up. rip eddie.
Like many more old drivers, I never was a fan of Stobarts because of the way he dropped the rates and put others out of business, but 56 is too young for anyone to go, RIP.
R.I.P. eddie a man of great foresight,to those who mock may i suggest if you cant comment with respect dont comment at all.
condolences to the stobart family at this sad time.
regards dave.
Shame about Eddie Stobart. They say he was HGV positive.
I had an interview with Peter Pratt and we spent the whole time talking about Edward and Malcolm Wilson (Ford Rally Team)
He was certainly respected by Peter
RIP

there isnt a owner driver or small fleet that would say no to a fleet like stobarts.
The man was a legend. He built a business that has come to be household name and has stood the test of time, and he paid his bills. It’s a very small man who would have a “pop” at this time.
Worked for them in the late eightys early ninetys first as a driver then as a planner at Burton on trent dept.He was a good boss to work for always had time for a word will be sadly missed RIP
say what you will
Stobbies single handedly improved the image of trucking and drivers no end
RIP and condolences to family staff and fellow ■■■■■■■■■
R.I.P. Eddie
As a mark of respect for Eddie Stobart, rather than a post-mortem, they had one of his drivers cut him up on the M6.
May he rest in peace, He was truly a Legend in his Time Condolences to his wife and the Stobart Family at this sad time
so many sad and lonely people that have to hang on to a sad and lonely person that they think they knew
eddie just about put the green tie brigade out the game thats why william took it over
william will eventually do the same
anyone living on credit will tell you that you have to pay back what you have borrowed
its only a matter of time before the banks ask fast eddie for their money
long time coming but it will
