Hi All,
I was coming back from Holland early on Sunday morning and thought I’d nip into Eastenders. When I pulled up there were trucks parked in the car park but the shutters were down and the place was otherwise deserted.
It is supposed to be open 24 x 7, so does anyone know if they’ve just reduced their opening hours or if they’ve packed up completely? When did you last shop there?

It closed in October, as have quite a few other booze outlets. They used to survive largely on the coach-tripper trade and have been in decline for the last two years since the £ lost so much value against the euro that it wasn’t worthwhile doing them any more.
Same at Adinkerke, it’s like a ghost town compared to five years ago.
That’s a shame, what about Cheers across the road?
A quick search says that it closed in June 2010, Pidou at TransMarck is still open though.

I did think that Calais had been re-named Kabul or Baghdad,with the amount of the blighters over there.
I bought some Stella at the Pidou at Dunkerque when we opened it what a horrible taste 
it was like they were gone off So watch out what you buy
