DVSA requesting working time information

DVSA are requesting time sheets for our drivers. Our guys get paid a day rate of i.e. £100 whether they work/drive 6 hours or more than 6. Basically the drivers do not perform a daily time sheet and they are never over their working time limit.

Will the DVSA be happy with a working time report which is calculated by Tachomaster or do they want to see something more such as payroll hours worked or hours worked printed out on an excel sheet?

Has anyone ever been asked to produce similar?

  1. have you had DVSA visit you recently?
  2. have any trucks/drivers been pulled by DVSA recently?
  3. are your drivers completing a vehicle check-list every day?
  4. are your drivers showing a 15 min period of other work after inserting their tacho/doing a manual entry, or are they inserting their card and driving off within a few minutes?
